Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms govern your use of Tipsy (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Tipsy. By using the Service you represent that you meet this age requirement and are legally able to enter into this agreement.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the security of your account.
One account per person; you may not impersonate another person or create fake profiles.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. SMS Verification

By signing up with your phone number, you agree to receive SMS verification codes from Tipsy used to confirm your identity. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for assistance.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
Post or send content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringes the rights of others.
Solicit money, advertise services, or engage in commercial activity through the Service.
Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service or its users.
Use the Service to defraud or deceive anyone, including catfishing or identity misrepresentation.

6. Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, messages, profile text). You grant Tipsy a limited license to store, display, and process this content to operate the Service, including sharing with other users as part of the matching and messaging experience.

7. AI Agents and Matching

Tipsy uses artificial intelligence to generate an agent profile from your onboarding answers and to evaluate compatibility with other users. AI outputs are probabilistic and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for your own decisions about whom to meet or communicate with.

8. Safety

Meeting strangers carries inherent risk. Tipsy does not perform background checks. Use caution, meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and report suspicious behavior to us. You can block or report users in the app.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we believe is harmful. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee matches, compatibility, or specific outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tipsy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
