Tipsy ("we", "us", "our") operates the dating service available at dating.ning.codes (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Service.

Account information: phone number, name, age, gender, preferences, and optional profile photos.
Onboarding content: the answers and conversations you share during sign-up, which power your AI agent profile.
Match and messaging activity: interactions with other users, feedback (interested/pass), and messages sent through the Service.
Technical data: device information, IP address, and usage analytics to keep the Service secure and improve it.

3. SMS Verification

By providing your phone number during sign-up, you consent to receive one-time SMS verification codes from Tipsy. These codes are used solely to confirm your identity when you create an account or sign in.

Message frequency varies based on your sign-in activity. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance.

We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. Your phone number is used only for account authentication and, with your consent, to connect you with other Tipsy users.

4. How We Use Your Information

To create and maintain your account and AI agent profile.
To match you with compatible users based on semantic similarity and compatibility scoring.
To deliver SMS verification codes you have consented to receive.
To operate, secure, and improve the Service, including debugging and fraud prevention.
To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information only in these cases:

With other users: your profile details, photos, AI-generated agent summary, and messages are visible to matched users as intended by the Service.
With service providers: infrastructure partners (Supabase for data storage, Vercel for hosting, Twilio for SMS delivery, Google for AI generation) process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
For legal reasons: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, property, or safety.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings; we will delete your profile, photos, and messages within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and keep your device safe.
